Speaking Events

Inviting dialogue around emotional and relational intelligence, safety in schools, and the human side of education.

Linda approaches speaking the same way she approaches her work in schools, with care, curiosity, and deep respect for lived experience.

Whether speaking to educators, education partners, or community audiences, her intention is not to prescribe quick fixes, but to create space for reflection, connection, and meaningful dialogue around emotional and relational intelligence.

Her talks are grounded in real classroom experiences, research-informed practices, and a belief that safer, more compassionate schools are possible when we centre our shared humanity.

What to expect

Linda’s speaking style is reflective, grounded, and relational. She aims to meet audiences where they are, acknowledging both the challenges educators face and the hope that emerges when we feel seen, heard, and supported.

Participants often leave with:

  • Language to better understand emotional and relational dynamics

  • A renewed sense of agency and compassion

  • Practical insights they can apply immediately

  • Permission to slow down and reflect, rather than rush to solutions

The Connected Classroom

Monthly Open Forum

Last Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

These free, informal online conversations are an opportunity to connect with other educators, share experiences,

ask questions and explore some of the issues that matter to us.

There’s no presentation to prepare for and no expectation to have the answers.

Just a space to talk, listen and connect.

The Connected Classroom Workshop

On October 4, we’ll gather in person at the St. Catharines Museum and Welland Canals Centre

for an afternoon exploring the emotional and relational realities of education.

The workshop runs from 1:00–5:00 p.m. and brings together several perspectives on creating more connected,

emotionally responsive classrooms.

This is a paid event, and space is limited.

The Connected Classroom — Parent Edition

On October 20 at 7:30 p.m., we’ll also be offering a free online Parent Edition of The Connected Classroom.

Because supporting children doesn't happen only inside the classroom.

Parents and educators are part of the same larger circle of care—and there is so much we can learn from one another.

Whether you join us for one of these conversations or simply keep reading, I’m glad you’re here.

There’s room for you in this conversation.

If you are interested in inviting Linda to speak at your event, podcast, school, or community gathering, she would love to hear from you.

She welcomes opportunities that align with the values of emotional and relational intelligence, safety, compassion, and meaningful connection in education.
